Thomas Thienpont
Founder
As the founder, Thomas is the driving force behind Pyro Engineering. In 2023, he obtained a PhD in Civil Engineering, assessing the structural performance of concrete structures in fire. Since then he has been working on numerous consultancy and engineering projects in structural fire engineering. Thomas has in-depth expertise in advanced numerical modelling of concrete and steel structures under fire conditions.
Ruben Van Coile
Co-Founder
Ruben has been a professor at Ghent University since 2017 and is an internationally renowned expert in structural fire engineering. He holds degrees in Civil Engineering, Fire Safety Engineering, and Law, and has extensive expertise in probabilistic design and analysis methods.
